Still unsure? Email support@hypewarduk.com with your usual size and height and we will help you pick.

Delivery & Returns

UK delivery is £4.99, or free on orders of £99 and over. Worldwide delivery is £9.99, also free over £99.

Orders are dispatched within 2 business days. Standard delivery is estimated at 3 to 5 business days from dispatch, and tracking is emailed once your parcel is on its way.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn items with tags attached.

Wash & Care

Wash cold at 30 degrees, inside out, with similar colours. Skip bleach and fabric softener.

Air dry rather than tumble. Heat is what cracks prints and shrinks heavyweight cotton. Iron on the reverse only, never across a graphic.

Product Details

The Essentials 1977 Hoodie Ink is neither navy nor black. Ink is a deep blue-black that looks close to black indoors and shows its blue in daylight. People tend to buy it once they already own the black one.

What ink actually looks like

Under shop lighting you would call it black. In daylight the blue comes through, particularly across the shoulders and sleeves. The 1977 print sits low-contrast against it, so the effect stays quiet from a distance and clear up close.

Fit and sizing

  • Same boxy oversized pattern as the rest of the 1977 line
  • Dropped shoulders, wide chest, short body
  • Deep ribbed cuffs and a low ribbed hem
  • Usual size for the intended fit
  • One size down to bring it closer to the body
  • Available in S, M, L and XL

Where ink beats black

Ink pairs better with mid-blue denim than black does, because it picks up the same tone instead of fighting it. It also stops an all-dark outfit reading flat, while hiding marks nearly as well as black.

Care

  • Cold wash at 30 degrees, inside out
  • Wash with darks to protect the depth of the colour
  • Hang dry, no tumble drying
  • No softener on brushed fleece
