The Corteiz Skepta BBK T Shirt Off White is the lighter half of the Boy Better Know collaboration, and it is the version where the print does the most work.
Off white changes the balance
On black the BBK mark sits within the shirt. On off white it sits on top of it. The contrast is much higher, so this becomes the loud one of the pair. Off white also avoids the harsh flatness of a true white and does not go grey at the collar the same way.
Corteiz and Boy Better Know
BBK is Skepta's collective, built outside the industry in the same way Corteiz was. Clint Ogbenna launched the label in West London in 2017 with no retail backing and no permission asked. Pairing the two marks is a nod between two projects that took the same route.
Fit and sizing
- Boxy chest, slightly cropped body
- Dropped shoulders
- Heavier cotton that holds shape under a large print
- True to size, size up for extra length
- Available in S, M, L and XL
Wearing it
Pale tee, dark bottom half, nothing else printed. That is the whole formula and it does not need improving. Under an open windbreaker or shacket it also works, because the print sits high on the chest.
Keeping a pale tee clean
- Cold wash with light colours only, inside out
- Never in a load with dark denim, as indigo transfers onto off white easily
- Hang dry out of direct sunlight
- No bleach, which yellows off white rather than brightening it
