Product Details

The Stussy 8 Ball Pigment Dyed T Shirt Yellow is one of the pieces people search for by name, and it earns that. The 8 Ball is the most recognised graphic Stussy has. It came from pool hall and skate iconography rather than a studio, which is why it has stayed relevant for decades without being redrawn. Pigment dyeing sits colour on the surface of the cotton rather than bonding it into the fibre, then the garment is washed afterwards. It arrives already softened with a faded, lived-in tone instead of a flat block colour. Yellow is a statement colourway here, best worn as the single bright piece in an otherwise quiet fit. Heavier cotton than a standard tee, which stops a large graphic pulling the fabric out of shape. Stussy is widely credited as the first streetwear brand. Shawn Stussy was shaping surfboards in Laguna Beach in 1980 and signing each one by hand, and that signature became the logo.

Fit. Boxy through the chest with a short body, cut to the same 1990s pattern as the hoodies. US sizing, so it wears wider and shorter than a UK equivalent. Order your usual size, or size up if you want length.

Styling. It sits well under a crewneck or varsity jacket when it cools.

Care. Wash inside out at 30 degrees with similar colours. No bleach, no softener. Air dry and iron on the reverse only, never across the graphic.
