Who Owns Corteiz? The Story Behind CRTZ RTW

Corteiz was founded in 2017 by Clint Ogbenna, better known as Clint419. He started the label from his sister's flat in West London and grew it with no investors and almost no advertising. The brand's full name is CRTZ RTW, which stands for Corteiz Rules The World.

The Corteiz logo is Alcatraz Island. It stands for breaking out of the system and doing things your own way. That idea runs through everything the brand does. Password-protected drops. Guerrilla marketing stunts like the 99p market stall and the Bolo Exchange, where fans swapped designer jackets for Corteiz pieces.

The co-signs came fast. Central Cee, Stormzy and Dave all wear the brand. Then came the Nike partnership, which put Corteiz Air Max 95s on feet worldwide and pushed the label from underground favourite to a global force. Not bad for a brand that still refuses to play by fashion industry rules.
