What the University line is
University is Tremaine Emory's take on American college apparel, and the reference is not accidental. Collegiate clothing is one of the most recognisable pieces of American visual language, and Denim Tears has consistently taken that language and asked harder questions with it. The label was founded in 2019 on exactly that approach, starting with a first collection timed to the 400th anniversary of the first enslaved Africans arriving in America.
How it differs from the standard tracksuits
The core Denim Tears tracksuits carry the cotton wreath and read as streetwear. The University set reads as varsity. Same brand, different vocabulary. If you already own a wreath tracksuit, this gives you something from the label that does not look like a repeat.

Wearing it
