The Stussy Basic Long Sleeve T Shirt Black carries the handwritten signature on the chest and nothing else, built on the same heavyweight cotton jersey as the short sleeve tees. It sits between a tee and a sweatshirt, which makes it the piece that covers most of a British spring.
The signature is Shawn Stussy's own handwriting, taken from the marker he used to sign surfboards in Laguna Beach at the start of the 1980s. On a long sleeve there is room for it to sit clean on the chest without competing with anything else.
Cotton jersey at this weight holds its shape rather than clinging, so the sleeve stays straight through the forearm instead of bunching at the cuff. Ribbed cuffs hold, and the body follows the same relaxed 1990s cut as the rest of the range.
