Where a white cap wins
It lifts a dark outfit in a way no other colour does. An all-black fit with a white trucker reads deliberate and finished. The same fit with a black cap just reads black.
The honest downside
White shows everything, and a structured cap cannot go in a machine, so marks along the peak edge and around the sweatband have to be treated by hand. If you wear a cap daily, the grey or black will look better for longer.
