The Denim Tears Hoodie Dark Grey is the alternative to the black one, and for a lot of people it is the better buy. Dark grey holds the wreath motif with more definition than black manages.
Dark grey, not marl
This is a deep charcoal rather than a light heather, so it behaves closer to black than to a gym grey. It hides wear well, it does not show lint the way pale marl does, and it gives the motif a ground to sit against rather than disappear into.
What you are wearing
The cotton wreath is Tremaine Emory's central motif, referencing the crop American wealth was built on and the enslaved people forced to pick it. The label launched in 2019 around that idea.
