Purple is among the less common shades in the range, which is part of the appeal. The cotton wreath is the motif the whole label is built on. It is made of cotton flowers, and cotton is the point: it references the crop that built American wealth through the labour of enslaved Africans. Tremaine Emory has described it as a talisman for America. Heavyweight cotton fleece with the print applied large across the chest rather than shrunk to a small logo. The chest panel gives a circular motif room to sit without a seam cutting through it. Tremaine Emory ran Supreme as creative director while building this label, which is part of why it carries the weight it does.
Fit. Cut relaxed rather than oversized. Order your usual size. The print scales with the garment, so a larger size also carries a larger wreath.
Styling. Wear it with the wreath as the focal point and keep the rest of the fit plain.
Care. Wash cold at 30 degrees, inside out, no bleach or softener. Air dry rather than tumble. Heat is what cracks a print this large, and on a piece bought for the graphic that is the value gone.
