Why the 95 was the right silhouette
The Air Max 95 has always been a British shoe more than an American one, adopted here far more heavily than anywhere else. Handing it to a West London label was the obvious move, and Corteiz treated it as a shoe to wear rather than a shelf piece.
What the green does
Gutta Green runs across the layered upper panels, which is exactly where the 95's gradient construction shows colour best. Green is the harder shade to place in an outfit than black or grey, so it works as the single loud element with everything else kept plain.
