Pink on a 95, and why it works
The Air Max 95's upper is built from layered panels that graduate in tone, so it takes a bold colour better than a flat-panelled shoe would. Pink Beam uses that structure rather than fighting it. The result is bright without looking sprayed on.
The Corteiz and Nike partnership
Corteiz came out of West London in 2017 under Clint Ogbenna, built on drops announced at short notice and sold in small numbers. Getting handed the Air Max 95, a silhouette this country adopted as its own, was the moment the label stopped being a niche name.
