Skull Wings is the boldest artwork in the tee range, and the pigment dyeing stops it looking like a printed novelty piece. Pigment dyeing sits colour on the surface of the cotton rather than bonding it into the fibre, then the garment is washed afterwards. It arrives already softened with a faded, lived-in tone instead of a flat block colour. Black holds the print at its sharpest and hides everyday wear, which is why it sells first across almost every Stussy line. Heavier cotton than a standard tee, which stops a large graphic pulling the fabric out of shape.
