Fear of God Essentials Skirt Cream

Cream is the warmest of the pale tones and looks considerably more expensive in person than in photographs. The skirts are part of the womenswear side of Essentials, cut with the same relaxed proportions as the rest of the line. Heavyweight fleece cut short rather than lightweight training shorts, so they hang properly instead of riding up. The palette is the point: Essentials stays within a narrow band of muted tones, which is why pieces layer with each other so easily.

Fit. Relaxed through the thigh with an elasticated drawcord waist, finishing around the knee. More forgiving than the tops, since the drawcord absorbs a fair range within each size.

Styling. A pale short with a dark tee is a cleaner summer look than two dark pieces.

Care. Cold wash inside out at 30 degrees, gentle cycle, no softener. Air dry. Heat shrinks fleece through the leg and lifts the logo at the edges.
